Now more than ever I am reaching to grab my phone, whether it is to chat with friends or endlessly browse on social media. I have to stop and remind myself to get off! Whether you are a mama that should be focusing more on the kids, or you just want to “enjoy the moment” more instead of having your head buried in your phone, try this:
Make a conscious effort to leave your phone in a different room (or in your purse or bag), and only check it every half hour (if your job allows this)… When checking your device every half an hour, plan to spend only 5 minutes maximum doing so. Then, at the end of the day, allow a blocked off amount of time (say half an hour) to finish any daily tasks or reply to any un-responded to messages.
I, too, am making this a daily goal!
