This blog is geared more towards you mamas on maternity leave, but can apply to anyone really!
If you are like me, every day is dedicated to something — dog walking, grocery shopping, baby time at the library, swimming lessons, mom and baby group, lunch with friends, the list goes on…
Just as all of these things are so important, so is having a day to just stay in!
Make this day a day that you and you little one stay in pajamas all day — do some baking, read a book, watch a movie… I like to make half this day what I call my “admin day”. I catch up on emails, texts, paying bills, making phone calls, as well as things around the house.
For me, this day is Monday. It allows me to re-group after the weekend, and prepare for the week ahead. Try it. It is good for the mind, the body and the soul. It helps you feel accomplished and organized, yet relaxed and grounded.
For those mamas who have chosen to instead stay in most days, make a day once a week that is your “going out day”. The change of pace from the everyday is good for you — and your little one!
