A colleague of mine told me about this! Cineplex offers what is called “Stars and Strollers” for parents and babies! What is this you ask?
It happens once a week at select locations whereby parents can bring their babies into the theatre with their strollers to watch a feature flick. Depending on how busy the theatre is, the stroller can sit right beside you in the aisle. Admission is reduced by $2.00, and they even have a change table available! The idea is that parents can come and enjoy a movie with their babies in an environment where crying and nursing is acceptable without judgment.
Jax and went for the first time today to the Cineplex in North Vancouver to see Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children. The experience was amazing! I got to eat my popcorn and M&Ms and sip on my Barg’s Root Beer while nursing Jax, all the while enjoying some downtime watching a movie. The concession worker was amazing and even took a photo of Jax’s first movie theatre experience.
*Note: People without babies can still come to this slotted movie time, but have to pay full price.
